3 Ways To Be More Intentional in Our Friendships
Friendships can exist on a superficial level for some time. But real friendships require work and intentionality to flourish. It is important that we choose to be intentional in our friendships.
How can we be more intentional in our friendships? ◡̈
Be the inviter.
"Why do I have to be the one to reach out? Can't others approach me first?"
While it is nice to be invited by others first, we can be the inviters too!
We can be the ones who include others.
We can be the ones to show love first.
"Love your neighbours as yourself." – Jesus' greatest command may be simple to understand, but it takes intentionality to carry it out.

Today, take some time to pray and ask God for that one or two person(s) that He would like you to invite in - be the first to show love! ◡̈
Check in with your friends.
Call them. Drop them a text. Let them know you are thinking of them!
We are on our phones all day – scrolling through social media, replying emails, getting work done – why not drop someone a text along the way? Ask God to highlight someone you should reach out to today and send them a quick note.
It could be a friend whom you're close with, or a friend whom you haven't spoken to in years. Just obey, and let the Spirit lead. You might be surprised at the outcome!
Find a day to unplug, and unwind.
While technology can help us in staying connected most days, there is absolutely no end to the distractions that it brings to us too.
Find a day to unplug from your devices and hang out with your friends. Be present with them and enjoy real old-school authentic connections! ◡̈
